These are the options, here is one with shiny wheels, if your too tired to drive, push this button....I laugh now, but you never know what will be out next week. The Mattress Business reminds me of the Car Business for some reason.

Enough for humoring myself, I am supposed to give you tips to save money on over priced mattresses. Believe me, Mattress Stores want your business and they may not be as pushy as Car Salesmen, but they really do not want you to shop down the street.

I am going to give you the best tip ever on saving money on your next Mattress. Go to your local mattress store and find the Mattress that you like, then go home or get online and research prices online. Many companies ship Mattresses and if you live in another state, you pay no tax, and the online retailer realizes that they have one shot and will not play around.

Once you get your lowest price on the mattress of your dreams, you can even give your local dealer a chance to match their price. Many local retailers will be more than happy to oblige.

Are Latex Mattresses Dangerous for Children?

Latex Mattresses could be dangerous for Children, not because of Allergies, but for another little thought about concern for Latex Mattresses.  Children Love to jump on beds and Latex Mattresses can act like trampolines when jumped on because of their rubbery consistency.

Yes, Latex has contouring ability to alleviate the worst of back pains.  Yes, Latex Mattresses are more resilient than any of its competing materials so is expected to last longer.  Yes, Latex is antimicrobial and dust mite resistant.  Yes, if your kids jump on your Latex Mattress, You may have to pull them out of your ceiling!!!

Latex Mattresses have a springy quality far greater than innersprings.  Maybe kids don't jump on beds anymore and without a doubt, they shouldn't, but especially around this "trampoline like" material.  Latex has become more popular than ever since many have found its conforming qualities and especially its heat dissipating ability, but just a little caution around the children or husbands who tend to act like children....

Mattress Complaints!

Mattress Complaints can be found scattered around the Web much like other useful and sometimes abusive material.  You can pull up any Mattress company and find complaints, simply type the Manufacturer followed by the word "Complaint".  Sealy "Mattress Complaint", Serta Mattress Complaint, Tempurpedic Mattress Complaint, and By NO MEANS am I picking on these 3 companies because ALL companies have Complaints, these 3 are the largest so just easy to remember.

I Tell you about Mattress Complaints for a Reason, We should take these complaints with a grain of salt.  Here is 4 Quick reasons why we should consider Mattress Complaints, but not totally rely on them.

1. Customers lie on mattress companies when they may work for the competition.  Believe me it happens!

2. The 2nd reason we should not rely on Mattress Complaints is because Mattress Buying is Subjective!  Meaning, You may like one that I hate and vice versa.

3. 3rd Reason is because some people cannot be satisfied, period, there I said it!  Yes its true and you know who you are.  Just because it is not Exactly like you thought it would be, that is no reason to Complain like its the worst thing you have ever felt.  Done.

4.  4th Reason to lighten the impact of Mattress Complaints is because if we said we would not buy any that had a Bad Review, We would NEVER buy!  ALL Mattresses have bad reviews if they sold any numbers at all.

These 4 Mattress Complaint examples show you how there could be flaws in solely relying on Online Complaints.  It is a step in buying a mattress that we should consider, but do not give it so much weight that it consumes your buying process.

Mattress Warranty Assistance

What does a Mattress Warranty Cover? Most all Mattresses come with a Warranty and the Mattress Warranty can be very valuable if you have a problem.

Most Mattresses are trouble free, but what if your Mattress started sagging. This can be a Warranty issue and entitle you to a new Mattress. Most companies offer a Mattress Warranty that covers a Mattress if it is sagging over 1 1/2 inches, but newer mattresses are being covered with sags over 3/4 of an inch. This is because mattress companies are using materials that are more resilient like Latex and Memory Foam.

Remember a few things that will ensure your Mattress Warranty covers any problems you may have. First, you want to purchase a Mattress Protector to keep your Mattress clean as this is the first thing that void your Warranty. Any soiling or even a water spot will void your Mattress Warranty. The second thing, do you remember when you were told that it was against the law to remove the Law Label from your Mattress. Well, it is not against the law, but it will void your Mattress Warranty if the law label is removed because it provides valuable information like when the Mattress was manufactured and what store received the Mattress.

Remember if you have a problem with your Mattress and want to see if your Mattress is covered under the warranty, visit or call the retailer where you purchased your Mattress. Be sure and ask about the Warranty when you purchase your Mattress. Some Mattress Warranties are pro-rated which means the amount of coverage diminishes over the length of the Mattress Warranty. The best Mattress Warranty is one that is Non Pro-Rated.

Buy Mattress Online; Cheap Online Mattresses

Its time for a New Mattress and you are asking the question, can I Buy a Mattress Online and can I find the Mattress Cheaper Online?  The biggest question Mattress buyers have is, can they trust an online company when buying a mattress.  Here are 5 tips to save you heartache and Money when Buying a Mattress Online.

1.  Make sure you have looked at the Mattress at a local store so you know how the Mattress is going to feel.  Do not call and tell the store what kind you would like.  Everyone has different comfort levels and this is one item, you HAVE to feel before buying, especially buying online.

2.  After you have chosen the Mattress you like, it is time to do some online research.  Check out what others are saying about the mattress and get unbiased opinions.  Make sure this is a quality Mattress, even go to the Mattress makers site to check the warranty.  There are some great sites online for unbiased reviews of mattresses, like www.sleeplikethedead.com

3.  After you have researched the Mattress, it is time to find the company's that sell the Mattress and see who has the best offers or Cheapest Online Price for your Mattress of choice.  You can just Google your mattress name and the maker of the Mattress to find dealers.  There will most likely be some in the paid search area which will be at the top of the page and down the right border of search results.

4.  Buy Mattress Online!  No, not yet.  You then must do some research on the companies that are offering the mattress for sale.  Check reviews online about the company and make sure there are no complaints.  Check the BBB of the Company to make sure there are no complaints.  You also want to email the company or multiple companies to see who has the best offer.  There may be some companies that throw in pillows, mattress protectors, etc. when you buy your mattress online.

5.  You must determine if price is more important or freebies thrown in are more important.  If you care nothing about pillow and such, tell the company to take the pillow amount off the price of your mattress and that you just want a Cheap Online Mattress Deal.  If you can have a specific request, it is best.  Something like, I will buy the mattress online, if......the price is X amount or if you throw in a pillow I will buy the mattress at specified price.  Make it a definite sale if the store will do xyz.  This gives motivation to make a decision.  You will be surprised at the price you can buy a mattress online when you give it a shot.

Mattress stores and even companies are eager to sell Mattresses online because its from a customer that they would not otherwise have.  You could be 3 states away and never would step foot into the store you are shopping online.  This is what Mattress stores should consider as plus business and should be more willing to cut the price and sell you a mattress cheap online.  One thing to consider, if you buy online, there is not usually a trial period to try a mattress because of the shipping involved.  You can figure it is probably a couple hundred dollars to ship a mattress that you would be out if you shipped it back.  Mattress stores and companies are usually able to eat this delivery and still offer you a better price online because of the markup in mattresses.  You can usually find Cheap Online Mattresses!  Good luck and let me know how much you save on your online mattress purchase.

What Does Mattress Coil Count Mean?

What does Mattress Coil Count Mean?  Mattress Coil Counts have been a measure of how well a Mattress was made.  The more coils in the Mattress, the better it is.  Right?  Well maybe we need to investigate further.

Mattress Coil Counts have been a way for manufacturers to say, Ours is better because it has more coils.  But, to fit more coils into a mattress, they usually have to be made out of a smaller gauge wire. Coil quality is determined by the gauge, tempering and how tightly wound the coils are.

Springs will usually not last as long as some of the newer materials that mattresses are being made.  Among the newer materials are Memory Foam, Latex, and Foams.  These materials are more resilient and usually offer better wear over longer periods of time.  Mattresses with coils usually are accompanied by 10 year warranties at most where newer foams are offering 15, 20, and even 25 year warranties.

Inner Spring mattresses or Coil mattresses are cheaper to make and thus cost you much less.  The question is, which mattress can you afford and what is the length of time you would like it to last.  Coil mattresses usually need to be replaced at the 6-8 year mark in my experience depending on many factors.  There are some coil inner spring mattresses that are made better and last longer, but may depend on how you take care of them, the weight of persons sleeping on them, etc.

If you have decided to buy an innerspring coil mattress, do not get hung up on coil count.  This is a term that gets thrown around, but few really know what it means.  Pick a reputable mattress maker and a reputable store to take care of you.  Remember, if you have a problem with the mattress, let the store you purchased it from know immediately.

Select Comfort Sleep Number Review

Select Comfort and the Sleep Number bed probably has one of the best advertising campaigns in the history of selling mattresses.  When the guy says, "when you go into other mattress stores and they say firm bed over there-soft beds over there."

They have great advertising and have to have some of the best salespeople in the industry.  I can hear the interview now.

Question from interviewer for sleepnumber salesman- Ok, so sell me this ink pen and tell me why i should buy it from you.

Answer-Well, this ink pen uses ink that has a gradient of W when it comes to reading.  It is the highest gloss of any pen on the market and will actually save your eyes from fatigue.  The contoured grip actually massages your hand and will make it feel more relaxed.

Ok, Ok, stop.  Your hired.

All kidding aside, there are sleep number customers that will buy nothing else.  It is a great concept that you can select your comfort level when sleeping and your partner can pick theirs.  To my knowledge, they are the only bed on the market that has that ability.

Do you or anyone you know own a sleepnumber bed?  If so, tell us how you feel about it or how your friends feel about it.  Do you like the sleep number or is it a waste of money?  Give us your thoughts so maybe someone else can benefit from your comments.
